I can’t believe we’ve already approached the last 10 days & nights of Ramadan. A succession of days that hold so much blessings, one of which is the night of decree/glory when the Qur’an was sent down.

The night that Allah says

“is better than a thousand months, the night where “the angels & the ˹holy˺ spirit descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every ˹decreed˺ matter. It is all peace until the break of dawn.” [97:3-5]

Ya Rahman allow me to witness this night & count me amongst those who receive its blessings. Ya Rahman do not let this month pass without my sins passing with it. And make it a witness in my favor & not against me. Ya Rabb let this month end with Your satisfaction O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.⁣

Ya Allah Ya Rahman, You’re the Forgiver, You love to forgive so forgive me. Ya Rabb You’re An-Nur so place light in my heart & on my tongue light, & in my ears light & in my sight light, & above me light, & below me light, & to my right light, & to my left light, & before me light & behind me light.

Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, & amplify for me light. Make for me light, & make me light. O Allah, grant me light, & place light in my nerves, & in my body light & in my blood light & in my hair light & in my skin light. Ya Rabb make for me a light in my grave & a light in my bones. Increase me in light, increase me in light, increase me in light. Grant me light upon light.

Ya Nur, Ya Rahman, Ya Karim, I beseech You with all of Your beautiful names by which You’ve called Yourself or which You have sent down in Your Book, or which You have taught to any one of Your creations, or which You have preferred to keep to Yourself among Your guarded secrets, make the Qur’an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness  & the reliever of my worries & anxieties. Allahumma Amin ya Rabb.
