Ramadan Day 13 - Do Not Distress, Allah is With You
April 4, 2023
Surely the best comfort comes from Allah. Who best to call upon besides Al-Latif (The Subtle, The Most Gentle); Al-Hafidh (The Guardian, The Preserver, All-Protecting); Al-Wakil (The Trustee, Thé Best Disposer of Affairs).
The last two days have been difficult to say the least but as always without fail, Allah is Al-Hayy Al-Qayyum, The Living The Ever-Sustaining One. He Ar-Rahman, Al-Latif is so subtle in the ways He shows up for me. Alhamdulilah. As I spent time with Juz 14 today, I found comfort in the ayahs 97-99 of Surah Al-Hijr. A reminder to not be distressed for Allah is with me.
“We certainly know that your heart is truly distressed by what they say.“ [15:97]
“So glorify the praises of your Lord and be one of those who ˹always˺ pray,” [15:98]
“and worship your Lord until the inevitable comes to you.” [15:99]
Allah almighty has spoken the truth - ﺻﺪﻕ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺍﻟﻌﻈﻴﻢ
Truly, the Qur’an is a healing and cure. I pray may Allah make me of those who increase in His remembrance and His praise in good times and in bad times. In His mercy May He grant me tranquility and grant me a good ending. Amin ya Rabb.
With love,
Ibtisam
